Artists.

I suspect that, aside from having to attract a market, and actually sell your products, that being an artist or a writer would be easy. You don’t even have to be technically proficient. The internet is full of people just doodling away for fun, and they get tons of credit for just putting a silly caption or a cute expression on whatever it is they doodled.

And writing? The only people who care about the quality of writing are professional writers, writing critics, and to a lesser extent, editors and publishers. So basically, nobody who would want to give you money for writing anyway. Unless they were smart, like whichever jackass green-lit the twilight novels. Fucking gold mine.

Not to say that real artsy style art isn’t great, or that internet doodlers and scribblers can’t be or aren’t highly skilled at what they do (or that they can’t do more) just that, really, it doesn’t seem so difficult to make a thing that people connect with, stick it on the internet, and make a little bit of money. But what do I know? I’m just one of the millions of talentless imbeciles who thinks the things they say and think are worth sharing with a broader (and likely imaginary) audience.

I wrote a story during class about two months ago.

It’s a useless class, not even worth attending, let alone taking actual notes.

I’m thinking about editing it a little bit and posting it here. Maybe it’s awful. Probably it’s awful. I’m not sure I like it, but you know, fuck it.
